Kasey Charlebois
Dance Instructor – Certified Cecchetti Ballet
Miss Kasey has been teaching dance for over twenty years, the last ten in Huntsville, first at Huntsville School of Ballet, then as the owner and director of The Dance Project Muskoka, and now her first year at JJ Dance.
Kasey grew up with a strong ballet background, taking extra ballet lessons from the Edmonton School of Ballet, completing Cecchetti ballet examinations, attending international ballet conferences, and performing in the children cast of the Nutcracker for the Alberta Ballet (a highlight being asked to take classes with the company when she was 16). Recently obtaining her Cecchetti Associate Teacher’s certification, Kasey is now able to enter students into Cecchetti ballet exams, and workshops held at Canada’s National Ballet School.
As a student she performed with a student company that was highly involved in competitive dance, which solidified her performance skills and readied her for a move to Toronto where she graduated from the arts college, Randolph Academy of performing Arts. Kasey worked for 15 plus years as a professional dancer and choreographer in Toronto, internationally with Suncruises and Carnival Cruise Lines, and eventually it brought her to Deerhurst Resort and to call Huntsville her home.
Kasey has had a life long love for dance, her choreography often receiving recognition for being “a Dancer’s dance”. She loves to witness the beauty of her dancers’ movement and can’t wait to get into the studio with them again.

During this time she performed with the Toronto Rock Lacrosse Dance team at the ACC for a season and half. After University she travelled as a dancer on Celebrity Cruises in Alaska, and Holland America Line in Alaska and the Mediterranean. She also performed as a magician’s assistant for Adam Trent in the Caribbean and US, who later went on to perform on Broadway in “The Illusionists”. Upon returning to Toronto she performed as a member of the A2D2 dance team, while training and performing on the aerial hoop for 2 years.
